After weeks and weeks of hiding the answer to the most asked question (and after many 4D ultrasound scans just to make sure), today we are proud to announce that WE ARE GROWING A FLOWER!
Yes, it's a girl!
Back on week 18 was the first time we found out about the gender. I know it was a bit late, as many parents-to-be usually find out their baby's gender by week 12, but I guess it's because our obgyn want to wait until the sex is fully developed (which is by week 17). Finding out the gender, for us, was truly a remarkable milestone during the pregnancy (second best after we saw a small white spot inside the amniotic sac and the last one was definitely when the 4D scan clearly showed our baby's face), as I've mentioned before, it help us to bond with our baby better even before she's born.
Honestly, I was suspicious that it's gonna be a girl by the end of my first trimester, though at the beginning of my pregnancy, I thought it's gonna be a boy because I was so lazy, messy, and ugly! Well, not that I believe in myths and old-wives' tales, but some of them are kinda right, I am having the baby girl symptoms:
- I am so into sweet food
- My belly is round and doesn't stick out much and I am carrying it pretty high
- My skin is soft
- I suffered morning sickness up to week 12
- My hair has become thinner and dull, though I look glowing and more radiant starting from the beginning of my second trimester
- I'm also into cleaning, decorating and organizing, and doing my makeup is not even a burden
Anyway, though I don't believe it much, I think those old-wives' tales are harmless. There's no scientific proof that they're accurate, but it's fun to just talk about them!

The scan wasn't so clear, but so far they always showed the same result.
We are 33 weeks now!
Pap is so proud of her "Wonder Woman's Bracelet of Submission" pose!
The last scan was delightful as the doctor said that our baby's position is no longer breech and is ready for birth, her movements are getting stronger and more exciting, all of her vitals are developed well, and we've seen a perfect set of little fingers! Currently, our baby weighs about 2 kg while I only gained 10 kg, yet we are almost there already!
Though whether a boy or a girl is alright as long as our baby's healthy, we hope that the doctor and us aren't mistaken on reading the gender! Or else, we gota say bye-bye to all of the pink baby outfits in our baby's dresser :D
Love,
P
